TRADE-IN TERMS & CONDITIONS

Want to trade in your old (or brand new) Dr. Martens or Jeffrey Campbell shoes to contribute to purchasing a new pair from TSL? Here’s how it works!

  1. Send images to TSL’s whatsapp number at 073 193 7670 of the shoes you’d like to trade in. Images need to be CLEAR, and must include an image of the size tag and an image of the underneath of the sole. Please do confirm whether you have the original box it came in or not.
  2. TSL will then assess the shoe and let you know whether a trade-in will be accepted or not (this is at TSL’s discretion). TSL may not accept a trade-in if the item is in bad condition, broken, or defective, or if the particular model is not in high enough demand).
  3. If a trade-in is confirmed, TSL will give you a selling price (excl. VAT) for the shoe and you will receive 50% of this selling price in store credit

For Eg. If TSL gives you a selling price of R3,000 (excl. VAT), you will receive R1,500 in store credit. The selling price is at TSL’s discretion - the aim is to keep it very competitive in order to keep stock moving and selling quickly.

  1. You will need to courier the shoe to TSL’s store in Cape Town at your OWN COST (or you may drop it off at TSL’s store if you are in Cape Town). TSL will then issue you a voucher within 24 hours of receipt of the shoe, provided that it is in the same condition as the images provided. The voucher may be used online or in-store and is valid for 36 months from date of issue
  • If the shoe is NOT in the same condition as the images provided, TSL reserves the right to amend the selling price and your store credit will be adjusted.
  • If the shoe is NOT in the same condition as the images provided and TSL therefore does not accept a trade-in (item in bad condition, broken, or defective), you will need to collect the shoes from TSL’s store at your own cost.
  1. The voucher may be used on our new PRE-LOVED collection, or on brand new stock! Happy shopping! 🙂
